We work with individuals to support them to have an "Happy Future"

Happy Futures have a domiciliary care office registered with the Care Quality Commission in Scarborough. We currently support individuals in Whitby, Scarborough and Filey. In Scarborough we have a Skills Centre available to the individuals we support.

About Happy Futures Support Specialists Ltd

The wrap around vision of care delivered by Happy Futures is focused promoting independence to vulnerable groups in society who need specialist support to live independent lives, these individuals may have mental health needs or have a learning disability. At Happy Futures we support adults and children.

We offer support to individuals with moderate and complex needs.

Our new facility at Treetops in Scarborough offers support to individuals who require more complex support. The bungalows are spacious and many have been designed to meet the needs of the individuals living at Treetops. There is onsite security with CCTV, a central garden area with raised planters and seating areas. We work alongside North Yorkshire County Council, the local Clinical Commissioning Group and families.

Our aim is to support individuals to live as independently as possible with the additional knowledge of a robust network around them. This is achieved by our service having a community hub, called a skills centre. The centre is fully equipped with life skill learning equipment such as a computer suite, touch screen PC, Computer Consoles, TV, percussion instruments, DJ decks, Foot Spa, Arts & Crafts, golf clubs, metal detector, fitness equipment and many other indoor and outdoor activities. Our external garden area has seating, patio and a workshop.

The support delivery is coordinated from the office at the skills centre. The domiciliary care or home care is provided to the individuals at their own home or supported living apartment/flat or in the skills centre, supporting life skills to be developed, such as budgeting, paying of bills, use of an ATM, shopping skills, travel training, the centre can also assist individuals in C.V. writing and gaining entry into the work environment.

Whist individuals are not receiving their daily support they can simply drop in to the centre for a chat or to feel a sense of belonging.

We have found that with this wrap around model of specialist support individuals are increasingly likely to feel safe and secure and learn skills whilst the community placement is less likely to breakdown.

Our experienced team of Complex Care Support Workers / Support Workers work with individuals to enhance existing skills and develop news skills through a person centred approach. Tailor made support packages are designed to meet the individuals exact support requirements.
